Stretch Disco returns to present the first ever Greg Wilson's Reels of Steel night featuring a 3-hour set by the globally-acclaimed ex-Hacienda DJ at the Band on the Wall in Manchester on Saturday 16 April 2011. Reels of Steel will be a feast of audio-visual action; Greg has spent the last year digging through his extensive music video archive to compile a show-reel of delights that will be projected to accompany his sounds. Greg will also be spinning cuts this time through two of his trusty Revox reel-to-reel tape machines and computer. Expect an eclectic-retrospective assault on the senses while Greg keeps it reel!

Manchester District Music Archive has teamed up with electrofunkroots to bring a marathon celebration of Manchester's 1980s Electro-Funk and B-Boy scene to Islington Mill on Saturday 30 August 2008 from 4pm to 3am.

The event, led by pioneering DJ and producer Greg Wilson, will explore the impact of this seminal underground movement through films, talks and music.

Greg will be hosting Q&As with key figures from the era, including Hewan Clarke, Colin Curtis, Chad Jackson and Mike Shaft, followed by the first ever public screening of Tim 'Bones' Forde's life-affirming film, 'The Birth of the British B-Boy', a 40-minute documentary about Manchester's legendary breakdance troupe Broken Glass Street Crew.

The event will climax with a club night from 10pm-3am, featuring some of the scene's most important DJs and dancers.

Daytime: Free admission from 4pm

A Certain Ratio will play at Cargo, London EC2 on Thursday 11 August 2005. This performance ties in with 3 ACR LPs that have just hit the shops. 2005 has seen the re-release of 'ACR Live In America' on Melodic Records during May. The band's fourth release, 'I'd Like To See You Again' was re-released by LTM in June 2005 and a new release – 'ACR Live in Holland' (again through LTM) in July.
